My Nephew – Watercolor
November 10, 2009
Just a quickie this morning. This is Binh, my nephew (metaphase’s son), I was looking for a lunch time sketch subject and found this picture on the metaphase blog. He is a sweetheart, along with his sister Ava. Which I will paint next, but for now it’s Binh. I’m using watercolor and ink, the ink gives such a blacker black but harder to blend. So for now, the horses will be worked on at home and my buddy Binh will be the lunch time project. Thanks for visiting and hanging with me, I’ve been really busy, but trying to keep things fresh on the blog.

loving it! Cannot wait to see it done.
Thanks! Hopefully today or tomorrow, depends on how hungry I get at lunch. My stomach says to eat… but my waist line says to paint!
I love this painting, and I almost feel like you could keep it just the way it is. It’s almost like you know what’s there, but it leaves it up to your imagination to fill in the blank.
Thanks for the comment, BTW!
Thanks for visiting and leaving a nice comment.
The painting actually has a lot more white space to the left and I will finish Binh but leave that white there. Thanks again!
Naturally, I love it. What a blessing to have a brother with a talent like yours. It’s awesome to click and see your kid in a painting.
Thanks Sis, I just have great subjects to paint!
Cool idea Ryan with one at lunch and one at home….. I like seeing these partially done.
You know I love unfinished paintings so I adore this – but then what’s not to like with a wonderful little model like this? Not that I’m saying don’t finish it – I know you’ll do a fantastic picture – it’s great that you showed it to us in the early stages though.
He’s adorable! I just wished they lived closer, I love kids, especially well behaved kids.
