Splatter me a flower – Watercolor

SplatterThis fun project was started with a very wet 140lb cold press paper, splattered with various colors, allowed to dry, splattered again with finer splats (technical term, LOL), and then the negative space around flowers were inserted to enhance splattered flowers.

Give it a try!

This painting will be available by going to

  1. Nice to see you back, Ryan. The colors are quite beautiful. I like the subtlety of the spatter with the definition that the detail work gives it.

Its been a struggle since the surgery but trying to get back into the groove, but very appreciative of the second chance.

      • Thanks Ruth,
It’s been a journey the last 7 months. Recovering, trying to do art shows, working full time yet… I’m to old for this! LOL

    • Well Hello Linda!
I was hoping to be in Florida by then, but the heart surgery slowed all my plans down. Ready for Fall but not Winter! I hope all is well with you!
